Plotting Along
When: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, January 28 – March 17
Where: Oregon Contemporary Theatre, 194 W. Broadway, Eugene
Details: Plotting Along with Paul Calandrino. Crafting a good plot is one of the most difficult tasks a playwright faces. For a lot of us, characters and dialogue come easy, but plots are tough for almost everyone. That’s because you have to learn how to create a plot for every new play you write. In this 8-week course, we will practice the fundamentals of “plot-craft,” including where to start, how to create obstacles, and how to arrive at an inevitable yet surprising resolution. Prevent your plays from winding up in a literary manager’s trash can, and learn how to plot. Open to writers of all levels.
Cost: $140 (some discounts available for current cast members and subscribers)
