This year’s Annual Emerald Spring Exhibition at the Emerald Art Center is the 17th time the juried show has been presented, featuring artwork by artists throughout the nation.

The competition includes the awarding of cash prizes.

The juror for this year’s show, which will be on the walls through June 3, is Bets Cole, a longtime Lane County area artist. Cole chose both the artists and the awards for this year’s show.

A reception for the show will take place during the Second Friday Art Walk on May 12, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Emerald Art Center at 500 Main St. in downtown Springfield.
