The Second Friday Art Walk in downtown Springfield runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Aug. 10. The guided tour begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Island Park Gallery at the Willamalane Adult Activity Center at 215 West C St. A shuttle will run back and forth between there and downtown until 7 p.m.
The stops on the tour include:
- Willamalane Adult Activity Center (215 West C St.) — Asante Riverwind’s “Nature & Spirit, Dreams & Visions,” plus a free hors d’oeuvres and wine reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Emerald Art Center (500 Main St.) — “Expressions of a Creative Heart, Mind and Soul” by featured member Renee Wright, plus “Travels to an Edge” featuring photographs by Stu Levy from Scotland, Susie Morrill from Cuba, and Jerry Jump.
- Talking Rhythms (500 Main St., Suite C1) — “Illuminations and Ruminations Part 1, photographic composites by Paula Goodbar.
- City Hall Gallery (225 A St.) — Paintings by Dennis Duvaul with light refreshments and music by Bob Ragen.
- Hearts for Hospice (444 Main St.) — Wood carvings by John Culver, with music by Don and Judi Barnhart, plus refreshments of homemade desserts and wine by Paco.
