Details: This month, Photography at Oregon proudly presents: A live presentation by the famed National Geographic Photographer Joel Sartore: 15 Years of the Photo Ark. National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore is a man on a mission: to photograph every species in human care in the world. Fifteen years in, he’s past the halfway point with over 12,000 species so far. Go behind the scenes with Joel as he travels around the world to capture creatures, including the most toxic, outrageous, colourful, and simply beautiful. Things can go wrong and often do, but getting up close and personal is what it is all about. From hilarious to poignant, you’ll bet the inside scoop on favourites like pandas, tigers, and elephants, as well as animals that are on the very brink of extinction..

Linda Devenow is also integrating a new Last Friday Feature: A short Sneak Peek at the work of lesser-known photographers doing interesting and inspiring work shortly before the main feature begins.  The Sneak Peek slide show starts at 6:45 for the early birds, so arrive early if you want to catch it! Popcorn provided and discussion encouraged!
