Details: Calling all writers, word nerds, word artists, and word lovers! Join our monthly open mic, emceed by spoken word poet Jorah LaFleur.

Share your writing in a supportive community. No matter your genre or form – poetry, fiction, storytelling, spoken word, or prose – you’re welcome to participate in our new monthly community open mic on the second Thursday of each month, October through May.

Hear what your fellow wordsmiths have been working on and support your literary community with an evening of word goodness.

We’ll create community and experience inspiration, sharing, and listening together.

Here’s all the stuff you need to know:

-All wordcraft is welcome: poetry, prose, fiction, storytelling, spoken word, etc.
-5 MINUTE TIME LIMIT
-15 slots available
-All Ages. No alcohol. Mature teens are welcome to participate and attend, but not all content may be suitable for younger kiddos

Jorah LaFleur is committed to helping others experience the power of being seen/heard, and to promoting the arts as tools of social change, and community building. For over a decade (2006 to 2019), she ran the Eugene Poetry Slam, which gifted her with a wealth of stage hosting experience, and a front row seat to the recitation of thousands of original poems.
