The Maude Kerns Art Center now has a show titled At Home in Oregon on display in the Gallery at the (Eugene) Airport, through July 9, 2024.

The show includes Marty Schmitt’s Native Oregonian, a sculpture of galvanized steel, brass, and copper, mounted on western red cedar.

The exhibit includes work by 29 members of the art center, curated by area artists Bets Cole and Karen Russo. Each artist created their own interpretation of the theme, “At Home in Oregon.”

The show includes a wide variety of artistic mediums — painting, ceramic, quilting, photography, metalwork, encaustic (wax), pastel, assemblage, and papercut.

The Gallery at the Airport is located in the main terminal lobby, but for those not headed in or out that direction, the works on display there also can be viewed online at mkartcenter.org. They also can be purchased online.

The Maude Kerns Art Center is located at 1910 E. 15th Ave. in Eugene, at the corner of 15th and Villard streets. Regular gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday when exhibits are on display at the art center.

Rita Feidler’s painting, At Home in an Oregon Vineyard, is part of an art show at the Eugene Airport, curated by the Maude Kerns Art Center.
