It may be the last, but certainly not the least, when the Maude Kerns Art Center hosts the third of its Art in the Courtyard events for the summer on Saturday, Aug. 29.

The trio of in-house gatherings came about after the art center had to cancel the Art and the Vineyard Festival, its major fundraiser for the year, because of the coronovirus pandemic. On a much smaller scale, the Art in the Courtyard gatherings allowed the center to continue to highlight the work of artists and vendors who normally would have shown and sold their wares during the early July festival.

This time around, 13 artists are featured. Ann Bettman, Tim Boyden, Paul Foshay, Jenny Gray, Mary Hindman, Patti McNutt, John Pellitier, Margaret Plumb, Beth Robinson, and Sally Schwader make up the Artists’ Marketplace show and sale, with additional works by Patrick Gardner, Jerry Rosa, and Diane Seals in the Art For Your Garden portion of the exhibit.

The art center’s Members Gallery and gift shop will be open, and in addition, artwork by other artists has been donated for sale, with the proceeds going to benefit the Maude Kerns Art Center.

Food and drink will be available from Rainsong Winery, Ninkasi Brewery, Café Yumm, and Prince Puckler’s.

A suggested donation of $5 to attend the event is appreciated. Adherence to State of Oregon and Oregon Health Authority guidelines for mask wear and social distancing will be observed.
