The latest show at the White Lotus Gallery has a very simple premise, gallery representative Jennifer Huang says.
“The last couple of years have brought many changes and disruptions to our lives, and one of the things we sorely miss is meeting and seeing people without the barrier of masks,” Huang wrote in introducing the exhibit, Countenance: An Appreciation.
“While we appreciate the protection masks provide, we find ourselves filling in with our imagination what may be behind a mask,” she said. “With this exhibition, we celebrate the ability to study facial features and expressions and invite you to ponder the nuances of a curved eyebrow or the raised corner of a mouth.”
