Youth “Munchkin” Auditions

The Shedd Institute will hold a youth “munchkin” audition for its 9-performance production of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 1987 stage adaptation of Yip Harburg & Harold Arlen’s 1939 film musical The Wizard of Oz, will be performed Sept. 14-30.

Children and individuals who appear to be between the ages of 7-12 years are invited to audition for a role as a munchkin. The production is directed by Peg Major, with music direction by Robert Ashens, and choreography by Caitlin Christopher.

Auditions are by appointment only through the Shedd’s online form (theshedd.org/auditions). Please make sure to submit your headshot and performance resume in advance (auditions@theshedd.net).
