Mayor’s Teen Art Show: Sept. 8-29, 2023

The Maude Kerns Art Center is accepting submissions for the Mayor’s Teen Art Show, which will be on display Sept. 8-29, 2023.
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, May 30, 2023. Applications may be submitted on paper or digitally from the art center’s website: mkartcenter.org/calls.html.
Who may apply: All artists ages 13-19 years who live in the greater Eugene area.
Prizes: Best of Show ($500); Sponsor’s Choice Award ($350); Mayor’s Choice Award ($250); three Juror’s Choice Awards ($100 each); and the Maude Kerns Art Center Award (free student membership to the art center).
The Mayor’s Teen Art Show is open to all artists ages 13-19 years living in the greater Eugene area. Prizes include Best of Show ($500), Sponsor’s Choice Award ($350), Mayor’s Choice Award ($250), three Juror’s Choice Awards ($100 each), and the MKAC Award (free student membership to the Art Center).
Eligible artwork: 2- and 3-dimensional mediums, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, photography, printmaking, digital art, video art, fiber art, costumes or wearables, jewelry, assemblage, etc.
How to apply online: Fill out the form available on the above website and save it with your name. Then email the completed application to exhibits@mkartcenter.org along with jpeg images of your artwork.
How to apply on paper: Download and print the application form or stop by the art center at 1910 E. 15th Ave., Eugene, to get a copy. Fill it out and return it to the art center along with a thumb drive with images of your artwork, either in person or by mail to Maude Kerns Art Center, 1910 E. 15th Ave., Eugene, OR 97403.
Art center hours: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday when exhibits are on display.
