Local dentist and cinematographer join forces to raise money for documentary about Modoc history

Details: Local cinematographer Christelle Auzas and Eugene dentist Don Dexter, a seventh- generation direct descendant of Modoc War participants, are proud to unveil the special #ModocRepublic T-shirt, designed to raise funds for the documentary “Modoc: Endeavor to Persevere.” Learn more at gofund.me/c192a626.

The Modoc Republic T-shirt is a re-imagined California state flag and a symbol of the survival of the Modoc people. The “Modoc” Republic preceded the California Republic, with the goal that “our people will survive in perpetuity through our bloodlines and our stories.”

Cost: Every $30 T-shirt purchase will go directly to the documentary, which will tell more Modoc stories and commemorate the Modoc War.
