Yes, the title involves a bit of cuteness, but the Emerald Art Center’s PoArtry in Motion exhibit that runs through April 24 has a point, which it describes as “a unique grouping of art and poetry” to celebrate April’s National Poetry Month.
For one thing, it is showing work by Cindy Ingram, who was selected during an annual competition by Chamber Music Amici to select art to represent its 2026-27 season. The exhibit includes five pieces by Ingram — two new works and three from her existing portfolio — and these will be seen on the group’s programs, posters, and other promotional materials throughout Chamber Music Amici’s season.
In addition to Ingram’s works, art by two of the Emerald Art Center’s member artists — Don Myers and Jo Dunnick — also will be on display through April 24.
Myers show, Beautiful Oregon in Infrared, includes both new and older of his infrared photographs. Dunnick’s show, — Paint What You Love … — featuring varying styles and subjects that she has developed throughout her career.
As usual, new artwork by other member artists also will be on display.
All of it can be seen during regular gallery hours, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, as well as 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on April 10 during the Second Friday Art Walk in downtown Springfield. The Emerald Art Center is at 500 Main St.
