Details: God Is Unavailable is an autobiographical dramatic comedy which takes place over several decades, 1965-present. It chronicles the tumultuous story of a young black gay boy and his homophobic, God-fearing father who was also a street wise numbers runner in Brooklyn, New York. The play’s various suggested settings in Brooklyn NY, Spanish Harlem, a playground, a subway, a bath house, Studio 54, discotheques, a church, and in the presence of God. It runs 90 minutes, followed by a short question and answer segment.
