When: 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 15; 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 16

Where: Wildish Community Theater, 630 Main Street, Springfield

Details: In this special collaboration between Chamber Music Amici and #instaballet, the music of Paganini accompanies two new dance works created by the community. For those wishing to participate, one hour prior to the scheduled performance, you can watch the choreography created by local students and choreograph part of the performance during the accessible education workshop.

#instaballet will guide you and other audience members through the choreographic process, translating your ideas into movement, which will then be performed during the concert. No dance experience required — fun guaranteed!

Paganini is the most famous violin virtuoso who ever lived, producing prolific compositions often featuring his instrument. Castelnuovo-Tedesco, also Italian and whose career began more than 200 years later, achieved significant fame as he wrote a great number of film scores for Hollywood and a concerto for the 20th century violin virtuoso Jascha Heifetz. This program includes unusual chamber music that beautifully incorporates classical guitar as the featured voice.
