The Eugene Concert Choir organization is seeking a half-time Marketing & Public Relations Director.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with the Artistic & Executive Director, Office Administrator and Music Education Director as a staff team, taking direction but working with independent initiative.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Create an advertising and marketing plan and timeline for concert season and events
- Adhere to marketing budgets for each concert and event
- Coordinate the publicity and advertising for all performances and events including print advertising, radio, TV, direct mailings, and relevant media with ECC staff and all appropriate vendors
- Work with Hult Center Box Office staff to set up ticketing, discounts, group sales, and other ticketing related activity
- Update website, create E-News posts and develop social media activities
- Work with ECC staff and Bell+Funk to create season marketing materials, messaging, and collateral materials
- Create strategies to attract new audience members and analyze results
- Develop media partnerships and sponsorships for in-kind and trade agreements
- Assist with annual donation appeals, donor relations and fundraising events
- Coordinate database entry and mailing lists with staff
- Coordinate, supervise and include volunteers as appropriate
- Assist with projects and planning as needed
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years experience in marketing, preferably for a not-for-profit organization
- Marketing certificate/diploma or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of the performing arts
- Good time management and communication skills
- Self-motivated, able to work within deadlines and budgets
- Website working knowledge and experience with WordPress
- Able to develop creative marketing campaigns to promote performance season
- Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, especially InDesign, experience a plus
- Database and mailing list experience a plus, especially DonorPerfect
COMPENSATION
$24,000 a year, paid as monthly salary, .5 FTE (variable 20hrs/week).

Now in its 47th season as an enduring and vibrant part of the cultural life of the Eugene-Springfield area and Resident Company of the Hult Center for the Performing Arts since 1997, the Eugene Concert Choir is the premier choral organization in the region, providing adult mixed voices the opportunity to perform at a professional level. The Eugene Concert Choir is an umbrella organization comprising three performing ensembles: the Eugene Concert Choir, a 100-voice masterworks chorus, Eugene Vocal Arts, a select chamber choir, and Eugene Concert Orchestra. The organization presents a three-concert series and an educational “For Kids” concert at the Hult Center Silva Concert Hall, a two-concert chamber series in Beall Hall at the U of O, ECCO (Eugene Concert Choir Outreach) in-school music education program, which takes children from in-school classroom instruction to onstage performance, an annual adult Community Sing, a fall Gala fundraiser banquet and auction, and a spring cabaret dinner fundraiser.
