As part of Downtown Eugene’s First Friday ArtWalk on Jan. 2, 2026, the following galleries and venues will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., unless otherwise noted:
Allies, LLC (200 E. 11th Ave., Suite 130) —All-original artworks created at Allies by member artists. Proceeds from all works sold benefits the Allies Art Fund.
Art with Alejandro (5th Street Market Alley, Suite 104) — Featuring new and past works from Alejandro Sarmiento and Paisley Mae, from trippy aliens with lots of eyes to wildlife paintings and much in between.
Bree’s Way Gift Shop (1231 Alder St.) — Works by Patti Culwell in acrylics and watercolors, exploring the beauty and wonder of the natural world.
Broadway Commerce Center (44 W. Broadway) — Solo exhibit of paintings and smaller artworks by David Placencia; artist reception at 7 p.m. includes light refreshments. Show runs through January 2026.
City of Eugene Exhibitions
- City Hall Gallery (500 E. 4th Ave.) — Bloodlines: A Personal Journey Through Art, Memory, and Heritage, by Yvonne Stubbs. Regular hours 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, through Feb. 26, 2026.
- Mayor’s Art Show (Hult Center, Concourse Level, 1 Eugene Center) — A long-standing annual exhibition showcasing local artistic excellence and celebrating Eugene’s creativity, highlighting artists with diverse perspectives, backgrounds and disciplines. The 2026 show includes three pop-up annex galleries in the lobby, lower level and upper balcony of the Maurie Jacobs Community Room at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts, with an opening reception from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12. Show ends on Feb 22, 2026.

— Don Dexter Gallery and City Exhibitions present Don Bailey’s exhibition, Contemporary Indigenous Art Gallery.
- Hult Center Plaza (6th & Willamette) A’ppealing and Leaf Dance are two steel and reclaimed materials sculptures by artist Jenny Ellsworth. Through her work, Jenny breathes life into the forgotten, transforming discarded metal into beauty and wonder. Each piece tells a unique story, celebrating the journey of the materials she embraces.
City of Eugene Urban Canvas Murals
- WJ Dog Park (between 5th and 6th avenues near Washington St.) — Jump to the Moon, murals by Esteban Camacho Steffensen celebrating dog and human relationships.
- 941 Willamette Alley — Radically Radiant by Wayde Love
- 957 Willamette Alley — Nature’s Child by Mural Mice Universal
Downtown Athletic Club (999 Willamette St.) — Celebration of music by Eugene Symphony musicians. Wine, beer, and sodas available for purchase.
High St. Tonics (267 W. 8th Ave.) — Oil paintings by Silas Cassidy, a fine arts major at the University of Oregon, marking the beginning of a thesis.
Karin Clarke Gallery (760 Willamette St.) — Confessions of an Eye, new grand-scale figurative and landscape oil paintings by Eugene artist Adam Grosowsky, on show through Jan. 17.
Museum of Techno Art (28 E. Broadway) — 2026 Salon des Réfusés, an annual exhibit of art turned away from the Eugene’s Mayor’s Art Show and sponsored by the city of Eugene’s Cultural Services Dept. Runs from Jan. 2 through Feb. 7 with opening reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. during the on the First Friday ArtWalk on Jan. 2. Closing reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. during the First Friday ArtWalk on Feb. 7. Show hours are noon to 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, or by appointment.
The New Zone Gallery (110 E. 11th Ave.) — Along with eclectic mix of contemporary and traditional art created by New Zone members, plus three special exhibits during the month of January:
- Layer by Layer; What’s it all about: “Art for Art’s Sake” by Dagmar Maston; creation of unique papers, dismantled and reassembled them into works of collage.
- “A place in time; as seen by a trespasser in the land of death” by Luka Blakeslee, UO philosophy major and self-taught photograher, studying “the decay of the world around us and the unique ability of the camera to capture those images.
- New Works by local artist Jerry Ross in the Klausmeier Room. Ross, just returned from a tour of Italy, including “bardos” (Bodhisattva), experimental landscapes, small portraits, and sketches.
One Wall Gallery at Epic Seconds (30 E 11th Ave) —Sun and Rain, Again, new work by Portland artist Justine Johnson, paintings from found photos. Also works by David Schell, Dan Gluibizzi, and Benjamin Terrell. Through Jan. 31.
Our 21st Century Renaissance (aka R21), 1245 Pearl St.) — Work by contributing artists on the theme of Celebrating the Figure, with the goal of restoring the sense of pride and delight with which the citizens of the Renaissance and Athens of the Classical period viewed artistic depictions of idealized nude figures such as Michelangelo’s 17-foot David in Florence (1504), and before that, in 1485, Botticelli’s Birth of Venus.
Play (232 W. 5th Ave.) — Works by longtime Eugene painter and muralist Alejandro Sarmiento.
Starlight Lounge (830 Olive St.) — Mixed-media acrylic pop art on canvas by artist Neato. including Pop Punk Sci-Fi Adventures for the end of the world.
Window Activation (806 Charnelton St.) — Julie Anderson Bailey’s Origins, which includes three separate installations and can be viewed anytime, night or day, through the large windows.
