Here’s an alphabetical rundown of participating businesses and artists during Eugene’s First Friday ArtWalk on May 2. As usual, the locations will be open for visitors from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., unless indicated in the following list:

Allies, LLC (200 E. 11th Ave., Suite 130) —  Original artworks created at Allies by member artists. All proceeds from work sold benefit the Allies Art Fund.

Art with Alejandro (5th St Market Alley, Suite 104) — Art by Sammi Lee, featuring surreal, botanical pieces in both acrylic and digitally printed mediums, and Whitney North’s abstract acrylics with a mosaic aesthetic.

Bumble Boutique (233 W. 5th Ave.) — Ciara Ferguson is an Abstract expressionist artist in acrylics on canvas by Ciara Ferguson.

The audience helps choreograph an original ballet performed by professional Eugene Ballet dancers.

Eugene Ballet’s Instaballet at Capitello Wines (540 Charnelton St.) — Creation of a new ballet in real time with help from the audience, from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. when the final dance will be performed, thanks to the audience suggestions.

Farmers Market Pavilion (85 E. 8th Ave.) — Woman Working in the Field,  art by Hampton Rodriguez and Sofia Carpenter-Rodriguez, blending visual representation with sociological insights to highlight the vital role of migrant workers. (May is the last month of this display).

Hult Center Plaza (On Willamette street between 6th and 7th avenues) — A’ppealing and Leaf Dance, two steel and reclaimed materials sculptures by artist Jenny Ellsworth.

City of Eugene’s Urban Canvas Murals program —

  • 941 Willamette Alley – Radically Radiant by Wayde Love
  • 957 Willamette Alley – Nature’s Child by Mural Mice Universal

Flux Crystals (280 W. Broadway) — one-of-a-kind, hand-built clay creations by artists Bonnie Stambaugh and Lindsay Reaves.

High Street Tonics (267 W. 8th Ave.) — Featuring cute, sometimes strange and creepy plant monsters, plant monster fairies, and other critters by Rachel Saunders, primarily nature-inspired and digitally rendered. On Etsy as Biriyak’s Keeper.

Karin Clarke Gallery (760 Willamette St.) — WATER, a large invitational exhibit featuring some of the Pacific Northwest’s finest artists, including Marit Berg, Margaret Coe, Matthew Dennison, Tallmadge Doyle, Heather Jacks, Hart James, Erik Sandgren, Craig Spilman, and Betsy Wolfston. Through May 24.

Nexus Business Lounge (40 E. Broadway) — Featuring artwork by the owners and artists of Black Brush Tattoos, including Nichole Carlton (showing of work by artists from the company, including the late Joshua Carlton, a Eugene tattoo legend, plus paintings by Troy Jacobson and Eliza Be.

One Wall Gallery at Epic Seconds (30 E. 11th Ave.) — Ideas of Order, a new work by Elizabeth Thach, a trained painter who has been expressing art via crochet for seven years. On display through May 31.

Our 21st Century Renaissance (132 E. Broadway, Suite 212) — Visitors to R21 to be greeted by “Digit,” an actual humanoid robot manufactured by industry leading OSU spin off Agility Robotics.

PLAY (232 W. 5th Ave.) — Work by local multidisciplinary artist Paisley Mae, including the imaginative realm of Planet Galexia, a richly detailed world of her own creation with dynamic color, human-alien hybrid forms, and symbolism, using a range of mediums including acrylics, oils, gouache, colored pencils, and linocut printmaking.

Radiant Community Arts (110 E. 11th Ave., Suite C) — Formerly known as OSLP Arts & Culture Center, launching its inaugural community art exhibition on the theme, Radiant.

Starlight Lounge (830 Olive St.) — Featuring Justin Kiplinger’s work in acrylic paint and ink pens, plus a small herd of llamas and alpacas to graze on the vibes at the bar. (Interact, but please don’t feed.)

Pinball as Life, by Julie Williams, at The New Zone Gallery

The New Zone Gallery (110 E. 11th Ave.) — Opening reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with beverages from Hop Valley Brewing and wine from Sundance Wine Cellars, plus live music. In addition to the eclectic mix of contemporary and traditional art created by New Zone members, there will be three special exhibits during the month of May:

  • The Games We Play by Julie Williams.
  • Portraits of Animals by Barbara Aten.
  • Look for the Light by members of the Pacific Rim Art Guild.

Wilkins Coffee & Unseelie Chocolates (824 Charnelton St.) — Stained glass creations by mixed-media artist April Reign, is a mixed media artist specializing in stained glass in a world of color and light. She creates vibrant, interactive pieces that invite viewers into an entrancing world of color and light. Plus, free samples of cacao-infused cold brew coffee and unveiling brand new “Sparkling Cafemosas” in celebration of sunny days.

Window Activation (806 Charnelton St.) — Julie Anderson Bailey’s Origins, made up of three separate installations, on view anytime, night or day, through the large windows. Additional locations at Broadway Commerce Center (44 W. Broadway), and OSLP Arts & Culture Center (110 E. 11th Ave, Suite C).
