Fans of the annual Whiteaker Printmakers’ Reverse Auction will want to know that this year’s version of the popular sale of art prints created by artists from around the world begins on Sept. 6 and runs through Oct. 1.

In a nutshell, here’s how it works:

On Sept. 6, the price for each of the original 5×7-inch prints will be $95. On Sept. 7, the price of each print that didn’t sell on the first day will go down to $92. And it will keep on that way, with the price of unsold works dropping each day by $3, until Oct. 1 — the last day — when every remaining print will be available for $20.

The 170 available prints will be displayed at the Maude Kerns Art Center through Sept. 27 during its regular hours (10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday when exhibits are on display). The prints also can be viewed online, at mkartcenter.org.

Note: Purchase of prints in the Whitprint Reverse Auction can be made only online, at whitprint.com/rafwelcome. Go online and click on “enter auction” and then on “2024 Emerald Print Exchange” to view the prints and, once the auction starts, to make a purchase.
