They’re calling it Off the Beaten Track — Songwriters Showcase, and three longtime Eugene-area songwriter-performers will show their musical athleticism on Saturday, July 16, even as all those others pack themselves into Hayward Field to watch the World Athletic Championships.
The three issue their challenge tointernational track fans to escape from downtown Eugene to enjoy gritty, live, mainly original acoustic music in a uniquely urban setting (and) explore the rugged charm of west Eugene.”
All that is tongue-in-cheek, of course, but the tongues and cheeks will be doing their utmost to display their talent and wow the crowd.
