The Emerald Art Center in downtown Springfield has just opened its 20th annual Emerald Spring Exhibition, which will be on display through May 29. It’s a juried competition for which 324 artists as geographically wide-ranging as Vermont, Texas, and Florida submitted their work. Of those, 67 were chosen for display.
Portland artist Leslie Tejada served as the juror for the 2026 version of this annual show. More than $5,000 in prize money will be awarded to winning entries in the show, which attracts submissions by many emerging artists as well as established painters.
There will be a reception for the show during downtown Springfield’s Second Friday Art Walk on May 8, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
