The Shedd Institute has been known for years for championing the technology that allows people with severe hearing loss to hear and comprehend voices and music presented on its stage.

Now The Shedd’s Center for Hearing Access is going a step further, hosting a free one-hour showing of a documentary titled we hear you | NOW HEAR US, about hearing loss expressed through the words of prominent people who themselves experience the condition.

The program will begin at 10 am. on Saturday, April 19, in the Sheffer Concert Hall at The Shedd, 285 E. Broadway in downtown Eugene.

The film will be attended by Shari Eberts, executive producer of the film, who also will moderate the Q&A. Free hearing screenings also will be available.

we hear you | NOW HEAR US was an official selection at the Montreal Independent Film Festival in 2021, and a winner the same year at both the Cannes Film Festival and the IndieFEST Film Awards.
