From recruiting volunteers to putting on a play about Edgar Allan Poe to registration for summer camps for the younger set, Cottage Theatre’s calendar is filling up.
Volunteer open house May 17
From 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 17, Cottage Theatre will host an open house that includes a backstage tour and conversation about how people can get involved as volunteers at the longtime community theater. Interested would-be volunteers can register for the orientation online at cottagetheatre.org
Cottage Theatre to host Oregon premiere of Nevermore
The play titled Nevermore: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe will have its Oregon premiere at Cottage Theatre for a three-weekend run from June 6 to 22. The play offers original music and dramatic storytelling based on Poe’s poetry and prose to explore the life and times of the legendary American writer. Theater camps for the younger set this summer
Again this year, Cottage Theatre will host a series of morning summer theater camps for young performers and would-be performers ages 6-14 years:
Starting June 23 — Summer 2025 SKIT Camp for ages 6-8 years
Starting July 7 — Summer 2025 SHOWSTOPPERS for ages 12-14 years
Starting August 11 — Summer 2025 SPARK for ages 9-11 years
