Oregon Contemporary Theatre Postpones All Performances And Community Events

EUGENE — In light of the newest recommendations concerning social distancing and COVID-19, all performances and events at Oregon Contemporary Theatre are being postponed until after April 14. This includes all performances our annual 10-minute play festival, NW10: Oh, Boise! and the accompanying workshop “Writing Your 10-Minute Play.” Two community events are also postponed: the book launch for Cai Emmon’s Vanishing: Five Stories, and Shelton McMurphey Johnson House’s Digging in Their Heels.

OCT’s business office and box office will also be closed to the public during this time. Patrons with questions are encouraged to call the box office at 541-465-1506 or email boxoffice@octheatre.org.

The health and safety of our patrons, volunteers, staff, and artists is of the utmost importance to OCT. This an extremely difficult decision to make, but we know it is the socially responsible thing to do in order to best serve our community. We are monitoring the evolving coronavirus/COVID-19 situation closely and are aligning our practices to recommendations from the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and Oregon Health Authority (OHA).
