Reception and “sneak peek” at a forthcoming documentary, “Do No Harm,” on the crisis of suicide among members of the medical profession by Dr. Pamela Wible of Eugene. She explores eight local cases of physician suicide, citing a culture of bullying, hazing and abuse that affects both doctors and their patients. Wible’s book, “Physician Suicide Letters — Answered,” will be available for purchase and signing. Free.

Second-annual “The Nature of Gratitude” celebration, hosted by nature-inspired authors Tom Titus (tomatitus.com/) and Eric Alan (klcc.org/people/eric-alan), who offer perspectives on gratitude through their own writing and photography. Special guests include Joe Moll, executive director of the McKenzie River Trust; performance poet Jorah LaFleur; author Evelyn Hess; and musicians Halie Loren and Ben Bochner. Free.

Photo presentation, Q&A session and book signing with Rosie McGee, author and photographer of “Dancing with the Dead: A Photographic Memoir,” who will share early Grateful Dead stories and photos from 1965-74, when she lived, traveled and worked with the group, as well as short excerpts from her book. “Poetry for the People” continues with this month’s guest, Robert Lashley, who has been featured twice at the Eugene All-Ages Poetry Slam at Tsunami Books, although he’s not a “slam poet.” Lashley will present his first book, “The Homeboy Songs.” A YouTube clip of his 2015 recital of “Blues for Big Mama” at Tsunami Books is online at bit.ly/2eNbBjd. There will be an open mic. Free.
