Nearly $64,000 in grants has been announced by the Lane Arts Council in its annual effort to support area artists, arts projects and arts organizations.

Funding for the program comes from the city of Eugene’s Cultural Services Division and administered by the arts council.

The arts organizations chosen to receive funds for the 2024-25 year include #instaballet; DisOrient Asian Ameridan Film Festival of Oregon; Eugene Gay Men’s Chorus; Eugene-Springfield Youth Orchestras; Maude Kerns Art Center; Oregon Contemporary Theatre; Oregon Mozart Players; Pacific International Choral Festivals, Soromundi Lesbian Chorus of Eugene; The Eugene Gleemen; The Jazz Station (Willamette Jazz Society; Women’s Choral Society; and Wordcrafters in Eugene.

In addition, the program awards Community Arts Project Grants to individuals, groups, and organizations that emphasize providing access to the arts for traditionally underserved audiences. This year’s awards will be given to Community Supported Shelters; Eugene Friends of the Farmworkers; Free Shakespeare in the Park Theatre Company; Oregon Supported Living Program; Queer Choir Collective; Revelers Contemporary Circus; Track Town Swing Foundation; and Whiteaker Community Market, LLC.

In addition, six individual applicants have been selected to the 2024-25 Artist Grant Awards: Bonnie Simoa, Chauncey Mauney, Jessilyn Brinkerhoff, Josephine Angier, Mia Anton, and Yvonne Stubbs.
