Downtown Eugene’s First Friday ArtWalk details for June 5, 2026

As always, getting to the Downtown Eugene First Friday ArtWalk is as easy as going online the day of the ArtWalk to lanearts.org/first-friday-artwalk to get the code for a free bus pass, or walk, bike, or drive yourself.

On June 5, 2026, the following galleries and other arts-supporting venues will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. unless noted otherwise in the following list: 

#instaballet (WOW Hall (291 W. 8th Ave.) —  From 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Eugene Ballet dancers create a new dance in real time, incorporating ideas from the audience. All ages welcome, no dance experience needed, with performance of the resulting dance presented at 8 p.m. (Also featuring a new show in the lobby art gallery with work by #instaballet dancer and visual artist Nicole Brown.)

Art with Alejandro (5th Street Market Alley, Suite 104) — New works by Alejandro Sarmiento, including Cow Abduction, Maria, and Stigmata, plus colorful landscapes, masterpiece-inspired paintings, and whimsical studio creations.

Allies, LLC (200 E. 11th Ave., Suite 130) — All-original artworks, created at Allies by member artists. Proceeds from work sold benefits the Allies Art Fund.

Bree’s Way Gift Shop (1231 Alder St.) — Featuring 2D and 3D abstract realistic works by self-taught artist Alexandria Hines is a self-taught artist, using acrylic paint, polymer clay, and graphite sketches.

Broadway Commerce Center (44 W. Broadway) — Showing work by recycler extraordinaire Julia Garretson, including a wall of paper made from Cotton T-shirts, junk mail, and plants, plus an installation of up-cycled bicycle and truck rubber, more examples of creations from the discarded world.

Urban Canvas Murals — The City of Eugene’s local mural program presents:

  • WJ Dog Park (between 5th and 6th avenues near Washington Street) – Jump to the Moon, murals by Esteban Camacho Steffensen celebrating dog and human relationships.
  • 941 Willamette Alley – Radically Radiant by Wayde Love
  • 957 Willamette Alley – Nature’s Child by Mural Mice Universal

Downtown Athletic Club (999 Willamette St.) — Live music in the lobby performed by Eugene Symphony musicians. Free entrance; wine, beer, and sodas available for purchase.

FUSE Jewelry Collective (112 E. 13th Ave.) — Free Community Workshop and Plant Swap; bring extra garden or houseplants to help the swap, and visit the classroom to stamp a customizable metal plant label.

Flux Crystals (280 W. Broadway) —  Featuring recent work by Gloria Udosenata, Anna Bousquet, and Heather Sterling-Minder in a show called The Heart of Summer; includes paintings and drawings touching on themes of guardianship, nature, and reflection.

High St. Tonics (267 W. 8th Ave.) — Student Art Showcase featuring work by 15-year instructor Matt Hawk’s young student artists.

Longtime artist Bets Cole has a show of new paintings of Oregon at the Karin Clarke Gallery.

Karin Clarke Gallery (760 Willamette St.) — Presenting The Living Landscape: Bets Cole’s Oregon, through July 11, 2026, including more than 40 new paintings and drawings by plein-air artist Bets Cole.

Moon Maiden Tattoo (275 W. 8th Ave.) — Art by Grace Blakeslee, inspired by nature, the ocean, personal experiences, and the changing environment, including exploration of the emotional relationship between people and the natural world and an artistic background that ranges from screen printing, mixed-media drawing, and oil painting.

One Wall Gallery at Epic Seconds (30 E. 11th Ave.) — Showing Remember/Recollect, new work by Emily Hildebrand and Terry Waldron, day glow color and pattern pieces by Hildebrand and Waldron’s unworldly animals.

PLAY (232 W. 5th Ave.) — Featuring art by Marlis, is a Eugene-based painter for the last 20-some years, with both a degree in fine art and experience as a tattoo artist.

Radiant Community Arts (110 E. 11th Ave., Suite C) — Opening of a new exhibition, Self-Centered: A Portraiture Exhibition, plus an on-the-spot creation of painter Rodger Deevers doing a live painting.

Starlight Lounge (830 Olive St.) — Featuring artist Allie Reilly, who states, “This world is a really tough place to be in right now” and so who focuses “on happiness and bright colors … to create smiles, giggles, and warm feelings.”

The Community Apothecary (271 W. 8th Ave.) — Acrylic paintings with dynamic color and texture by self-taught artist Tammie Albert, focusing this series  on queer culture in time for “Pride Month.”
