Photography at Oregon — aka PAO — opens its 48th annual photo exhibit and auction on Friday, April 3. It runs for three months, with works up for auction added through that time, so it pays to pay attention.

Here’s how it works, in the words of the folks who organize and run it:

As in years past, there will be three Auction Exhibits featuring prints from the Online Auction at Dot Dotson’s Gallery in Eugene, one each in April, May, and June. The online auction goes live on May 1st, but you can get an in-person preview during our first live exhibit in April. After that, you can view a select number of photographs at Dot Dotson’s each month and, starting May 1st, bid online on the entire selection of over 100 photographs.

The first PAO Auction Exhibit opens Friday, April 3rd during the First Friday ArtWalk
at Dot Dotson’s Gallery, 1668 Willamette St. in Eugene. There will be an Opening Reception from 5-6 p.m., complete with wine and hors d’oeuvres.

The exhibit will run all of April, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. till 1:00 p.m.

Following that, new works will be displayed each month through the end of the auction period, so watch for the exhibit changes at the beginning of May and June so you can see these remarkable prints in person. There will be First Friday opening receptions from 5-6 p.m. for each of those monthly exhibits.

The Online Auction itself will be open for bids starting May 1 and continuing through June 30, 2026. The entire selection of photographs will be online, so, starting May 1, visit PAO2026.auctria.events to view and bid, or you can use your smart phone to scan the QR code below: (Note: these links won’t work till May 1st.)
