There are two parts to participating in the Maude Kerns Art Center’s fundraiser known as the Art Rescue Sale: Art at Bargain Prices.

First, of course, you will be able to take in the sale on Oct. 11 and 12 and purchase new-to-you artwork — paintings, drawings, prints, posters, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, textiles, local originals, and arty collectibles, as the center describes them — to take home to your own walls, jewelry boxes, drawers, and shelves.

But there’s a second way to get involved, and that’s to donate objects from your own collection (in the same categories) that you no longer have room for or otherwise have decided you can do without. All proceeds from the sale of this “repurposed art” will go to benefit the Maude Kerns Art Center.

Naturally, there are dates and times attached, and here they are:

Donation deadline: Drop off donated items no later than Sept. 30 at Maude Kerns at 1910 E. 15th Ave. (corner of 15th and Villard streets) in Eugene. The center is open 10 a.m. 5 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday during active exhibits).
