The Shedd Institute for the Arts at the corner of Broadway and High streets in downtown Eugene has a lot on its musical calendar during the next few weeks, with a variety of jazz and other musical offerings, that include a traditional holiday show.

Nov. 10: Michael Feinstein
7:30 p.m., Jaqua Concert Hall
For more than three decades, Michael Feinstein has dedicated himself to archiving and performing music from the fabled “American Songbook,” collecting five Grammy and two Emmy nominations along the way, with performances at the White House, Buckingham Palace and the Sydney Opera House in Australia.
His programs include music by George and Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hammerstein and Duke Ellington.
Tickets are $47-$79.
A preconcert dinner is available in the Shedd’s Great Hall at 6 p.m., at a cost of $21.75 for adults and $16.75 for children ages 9 and younger.
Nov. 11: Riley Etheridge Jr.
7:30. p.m., Jaqua Concert Hall
This is Etheridge’s first stop on a tour to promote his newest CD, “Secrets, Hope & Waiting,” described by reviewer Lee Zimmerman as “all the trappings of a classic.”

Nov. 16: Chico Schwall’s Amerian Roots
7:30 p.m., Shedd Recital Hall
Chico Schwall presents “American Masters: The Music of Charlie Poole & Memphis Minnie.”
Poole, who lived from 1892 to 1931, was known for taking old-fashioned, informal songs and making them sharp and contemporary, often playing banjo with a three-finger picking style that influenced bluegrass music a generation later.
Memphis Minnie, 1897-1973, played guitar, led a band and wrote and recorded songs that created a bridge between the rural South and industrial Memphis and Chicago, setting a style that became rhythm-and-blues.
Tickets are $15-19.
Nov. 18: A Night of Blues & Ballads
7:30 p.m., Jaqua Concert Hall
The Carl Woideck Jazz Heritage Project examines jazz in the form of blues that range from sad, simple, down-and-dirty to delicate, lyrical and even swingy ballads.
The show includes a medley à la Jazz at the Philharmonic as well as a mood-shifting version of “My Funny Valentine” in the style of Miles Davis in 1964, plus the whisper-quiet “Frame for the Blues” and a beloved “All Blues” waltz.
Joining Woideck onstage are pianist Torrey Newhart, guitarist Michael Radliff, bassist Sean Peterson and drummer Adam Carlson.
Tickets are $15-19.
This concert is eligible for The Shedd’s “Free Shedd Jazz Student Ticket” program, which offers a limited number of free tickets to elementary- through college-age young students.
Dec. 8-14: Emerald City Jazz Kings
For the ninth year, Jesse Cloninger and the Emerald City Jazz Kings will perform their annual Christmas Concert in four concerts — two in Eugene and one each in Corvallis and Florence.
The program includes many traditional favorites — White Christmas, The Christmas Song, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Button Up Your Overcoat, Mele Malimaka and Baby, It’s Cold Outside — as well as many other sacred and singalong offerings.

Jan. 11: Karla Bonoff
7:30 p.m., Jaqua Concert Hall
Bonoff’s four-decade career features moving vocals described as “like standing beneath a sparkling waterfall — refreshing, exhilarating, restorative.”
Jan. 12: Tierney Sutton
7:30 p.m., Jaqua Concert Hall
Tierney Sutton specializes in traditional folk songs, Broadway melodies, Gershwin highlights and selections from Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story.”
Tickets are $28-$36.
