Details from Eugene Springfield Youth Orchestras: ESYO alumni violinist Christopher Noel conducts Junior Orchestra, our second-tier full orchestra that requires an audition for membership. He brings energy and enthusiasm to the podium, and the musicians respond in kind. They will present a wide variety of works, beginning with the first movement of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s beloved Jupiter Symphony, followed by the fun and popular Sorcerer’s Apprentice by Paul Dukas, then a beautiful Intermezzo by Pietro Mascagni. Sectional pieces highlight brass, winds and percussion and a lovely andante by the strings. The famous Troika by Sergei Prokofiev and the ever-popular Pirates of the Caribbean by Hans Zimmer and Klaus Badelt round out the concert.
Cost: $10 adults, $5 students/senior citizens
