Details: Local author Doug Carnine will read from and talk about his book “How Love Wins: The Power of Mindful Kindness.” Carnine is a hospice volunteer with those who are at the end of their lives, as well as a correspondent with those who have murdered, taking the lives of others. He has written more than 50 textbooks and won the University of Oregon’s distinguished teacher award as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council for Exceptional Children.
