Details: A show called Summoning the Light is on display through February 7 in the Salon Gallery at the Maude Kerns Art Center. Features work by photographer Linda Devenow and painter Laure Shipley, both local artists whose work studies the role of light on Willamette Valley landscapes.
Devenow creates infrared images that expose light wavelengths not normally seen by the human eye. Shipley augments her landscape paintings with metal foil that creates visual points of bright sunlight.
