Detail: Patricia Montoya Donohue’s journey into the world of weaving began in elementary school, where the thrill of weaving colorful holiday paper table placements sparked a lifelong passion. For Patricia, the excitement was never about the celebrations themselves, but rather the joy of choosing materials and watching her creations come to life through her own hands. These early experiences continue to inspire her work, which emphasizes the use of natural materials sourced from the rich landscapes of Oregon.

Patricia is a life learner and is a member of the Columbia Basin Basketry Guild and the National Basketry Organization. With a unique approach that blends tradition with innovative techniques, she delights in demonstrating the art of basketry and sharing her knowledge with others.
