Details: The Shedd Institute’s E. Y. Harburg Academy for Musical Theatre presents Only A Paper Moon, a tribute to the great lyricist E. Y. “Yip” Harburg (1896-1981). Working with a number of composers, from Harold Arlen, Jerome Kern and Vernon Duke to Jay Gorney and Jule Styne, Harburg wrote such timeless classics as “Brother, Can You Spare A Dime?,” “Over the Rainbow” (and all the other songs in 1939’s The Wizard of Oz), “April in Paris,” “Old Devil Moon,” “Lydia The Tattooed Lady,” “Happiness Is A Thing Called Joe,” “How Are Things In Glocca Mora,” and of course, “It’s Only a Paper Moon”!
