Details: “The Eugene Masonic Cemetery Association invites the public to visit Hope Abbey at the Eugene Masonic Cemetery on our ‘Last Sunday’ gathering of the year for 2018. There will be cookies and informative conversation about the historic cemetery, established in 1859, and the Abbey, which is over 100 years old. The cemetery is the oldest in Eugene and the same age as the State of Oregon. The Abbey is located at 26th and University with the entrance to the cemetery at 25th and University. Stroll the beautifully peaceful grounds. Visit Eugene Skinner’s resting place as well as that of Maude Kerns and other well-known Eugene figures. Both Prince Lucian and Susan Campbell (of PLC and Campbell Halls at the UO) have their remains in the Abbey which has been restored to its original grandeur.”
