Details: The 1930 musical comedy classic Girl Crazy marked the celebrated Broadway debut of Ethel Merman, the second stage musical for Ginger Rogers, and the 7th and second-to-last pure musical comedy scored by George and Ira Gershwin. It also is one of their best, combining a high-powered, lighthearted book by the Broadway veterans Guy Bolton and John McGowan, with one of the great scores of the golden age of musical comedy, containing more hit songs than any other Gershwin show and more than just about any musical in history, including “I Got Rhythm,” “Embraceable You,” “But Not For Me,” “Could You Use Me?,” “Sam and Delilah,” “Treat Me Rough,” and “Bidin’ My Time.”
Tickets: $39, $37, $33, $29 (student, pkg & group discounts available)
