Details: Lane Arts Council’s Aug. 2nd First Friday ArtWalk in Downtown Eugene, guided by city of Eugene Public Art Manager Kate Ali, features highlights of Visual Arts Week. The official guided tour starts at 5:30 p.m. at Food for Lane County’s Dining Room (270 West 8th Ave.), with the brand new 20x21EUG Mural Project mural by Kari Johnson, and then murals by H11235 and Aiko. The tour continues to the New Zone Gallery (22 West 7th Ave.) for the Salon des Refusés at 6 p.m., then at 6:30 p.m. to the Hult Center for the Mayor’s Art Show, and last at 7 p.m. to various locations along 5th Avenue for BRIDGE Exhibitions’ contemporary art installations.
During the evening, Kesey Square showcases live music by Oleada, a Portland-based instrumental music project that combines chicha, psychedelic cumbia, jazz, dub, surf and post-rock, as well as the Artist Marketplace.
