COPING: KWAX FM-91.1 rebroadcasts Oregon Bach Festival’s A European Requiem from 2016

Details: The 2016 program begins with Bach’s Magnificat and transitions into Sir James MacMillan’s A European Requiem. The profound work was commissioned and premiered by OBF and begins with a quote from Beethoven’s 9^th Symphony – the composers call for unity and brotherhood. As an additional nod to Beethoven, this broadcast concludes with a 2010 performance of his Choral Fantasy in C Minor.
