Details: Oregon Mozart Players (OMP) return to Central Presbyterian Church this December with Candlelight: Sounds of the Season, a program designed to glow with warmth and joy in the heart of winter. Under Artistic Director David Amado, the evening invites reflection, serenity, and a sense of wonder through music shaped by light, devotion, and the quiet beauty of the season.

Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances, Suite III opens the concert, evoking 16th-century grace through a lush Romantic lens. From there, Corelli’s beloved Christmas Concerto offers a timeless expression of the season’s spirit, its pastoral hush and gentle lyricism perfectly suited to the candlelit space. The center of the program is Scarlatti’s luminous Christmas Cantata,
featuring soprano Naomi Castro, followed by Rowley’s charming Christmas Suite – a bright and inviting finale that carries the concert toward joy and celebration.
