Details from the Eugene Masonic Cemetery Association: Let your imagination drift back to Eugeneans living in the late 1800s, when a favored activity was getting on the Eugene mule-driven streetcar with family members and a large picnic basket, getting off at the Masonic Cemetery stop and having lunch under the trees while enjoying music from a brass band. We recreate this ambiance with the Oregon Brass Society. Gates are open from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and coffee and cake will be offered throughout that time in the beautifully restored Hope Abbey Mausoleum. Park on the street; a dropoff spot is provided for those with mobility problems at the 26th and University entrance.The Public Square is up the hill from Hope Abbey.
