They’re calling it Let’s Misbehave, but that’s just one of the many songs in the Cole Porter songbook that the Emerald City Jazz Kings will be offering during their upcoming concerts at The Shedd in Eugene and the LaSells Stewart Center in Corvallis on Feb. 23-25.

The Shedd’s Lynnea Barry is the artistic director for the show, which includes vocals by her as well as Vanessa Greenway, Cloud Pemble, and Matthew Leach.

The program includes Porter songs back as far as the 1920s through tunes made famous on Broadway from the 1930s to 1950s, plus hit movies from the ’50s.

Here’s just a smattering of those titles: Anything Goes; Don’t Fence Me In; You’re the Top; It’s De-Lovely; Let’s Do it; Just One of Those things; Begin the Beguine, Night and Day; I’ve Got You Under My Skin; and of course, Let’s Misbehave.

In addition to the vocalists, the cast of the show includes music director and pianist Emily Kidder; along with Nathan Waddell (bass); Paige Iavelli (drums); Daniel Cathey and Matthew Taylor (reeds); Glenn Griffith (trombone); and Alex Shuffield and Cody Simmons (trumpet).
