Artist Betty Jo Wolfe reimagines Alice as an adult returning to Wonderland.

A group show of fine art photography by members of the PhotoZone Gallery will be on display at the Emerald Art Center through Jan. 30, 2026. The group formed nearly 40 years ago, and members pursue a variety of fine art forms, including landscape and nature photography, documentary style, abstract expression, portraits, and even pinhole photography.

In addition, artwork by two of the center’s members, Betty Jo Wolfe and Michael Ostrov, will be featured.

Wolfe’s show, Return to Wonderland, is a series of six paintings that re-imagines familiar characters such as Alice, who is described by the artist as “no longer the lost little girl but a survivor whose scars have sharpened into an unapologetic hunger for power (and) Wonderland itself has never been the same since she returned.”

Ostrov’s art is described as his discovery “that he just loves being up to his elbows in clay,” not only because of the feel of it but also “the meditative feeling that comes over him as he sees the clay turn into something of beauty beneath his hands.”
