The Delgani String Quartet’s latest set of concerts is titled String Circle and will be performed from March 17 to 24, 2024, in Eugene, Corvallis, Portland and Salem as well as available online.
These concerts will feature composer and violist Kenji Bunch — String Circle is also the name of one of his own compositions — in between the opening piece, Franz Josef Haydn’s String Quartet Opus 77/1, and the finale, Johannes Brahms’ String Quartet No. 1, Opus 88.
Bunch is an American composer and violist who lives in the Portland area, where he serves as artistic director of Fear No Music as well as teaching at Portland State University and Reed College. He also works with the Portland Youth Philharmonic and directs MYSfits, the most advanced string ensemble of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony.
