Cottage Grove — On Saturday, Sept. 9, from 11 a.m. to noon, Cottage Theatre will hold a new usher orientation and training for those who are interested in joining the usher team.
Ushers check tickets, help seat audience members, sell concessions, and help to provide outstanding customer service to Cottage Theatre patrons. In return, ushers get to see the show for free. Ushers ages 12 – 70+ years of age are welcome.
The Sept. 9 orientation will include refreshments, training, and a backstage tour. For more information and to register, go online to cottagetheatre.org.
Cottage Theatre, founded in 1982, produces a year-round season of plays and musicals featuring talented Lane County performers. The theater also offers year-round educational programs for youth.
Cottage Theatre is a member of the American Association of Community Theatre (AACT), It is one of just six theaters in the country selected to produce a world premiere as part of the AACT 2024 NewPlayFest. The theater is known for its strong production values, in keeping with its mission of “engaging and enriching our community through the magic of live theater.”
