Updated information from the Karin Clarke Gallery, founder and host of the Eugene Biennial 2020: Celebrating Exceptional Art of our Region

Accepting Submissions through April 30, 2020: Oregon artists 18 years and older from Lane, Linn, Lincoln, Benton, Douglas and Coos counties are invited to submit one to three recent works (paintings, prints, photography, mixed-media, fibers, sculpture, ceramics, etc.) to be considered for the 2020 Eugene Biennial at Karin Clarke Gallery in Eugene, Oregon. This exhibit will showcase artistic excellence by visual artists in our beautiful region.

Jurors: Designer, Collector, Realtor Kevin J. Brown; Fine Artist, Public Artist, Arts Educator Betsy Wolfston; and Gallerist/Artist Karin Clarke

Biennial Events:

Opening Reception/Awards: Thursday, August 6th, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
First Friday ArtWalk: August 7, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. reception and awards ceremony (award sponsors include city of Eguene, Oregon Art Supply, The Duck Store, Whiteaker Printmakers, Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art)

 

Important information for submitting artists:

  • Submission dates: Online through April 30
  • Selection announced/artists notified: By May 31
  • Delivery of artwork (framed, installation-ready):  Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 1-2 to Karin Clarke Gallery, at 760 Willamette St., Eugene, OR 97401
  • Pick-up of unsold artwork: Saturday or Sunday, August 29-30
  • Requirements: Artwork accepted in the Eugene Biennial must be for sale. The gallery will take a 50% commission for any pieces sold.
  • Entry fee: $20 per artwork. Artists may submit up to three pieces for consideration.
  • Size limitations: Maximum size for 2D wall art is 4×6 feet (width by height), weight no more than 50 lbs. Maximum floor space for sculpture is 20×20 inches freestanding or maximum 16-inch depth for pedestal. Email eugenebiennial@gmail.com with questions.
