The Maude Kerns Art Center is accepting submissions for “The Mayor’s Teen Art Show,” which will take place Sept. 10 to Oct. 1. The submission deadline is Monday, May 27. Applications may be submitted on paper or digitally from our website: mkartcenter.org/calls.html.
The Mayor’s Teen Art Show is open to all artists ages 13-19 years living in the greater Eugene area. There will be prizes, including the Mayor’s Choice Award. Original 2- and 3- dimensional media are eligible, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, photography, digital art, etc. Work must have been created in the last 12 months. Accepted work must be ready to display or hang (mat, frame) at the time of exhibit.
To submit online: Fill out the form and save it with your name. Then email the completed application to exhibits@mkartcenter.org along with jpeg images of your artwork.
To submit a paper application: download and print the application form or stop by the Art Center to get a copy. Fill it out and return it to the Art Center along with a thumb drive or CD with images of your artwork.
The Maude Kerns Art Center, located at 1910 E. 15th Avenue at the corner of 15th and Villard, is Eugene’s first non-profit community center for the visual arts. Regular gallery hours are from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday – Friday, and noon to 4:00 pm on Saturday when exhibits are on display.
