Jenny Gray’s Mean Surf reflects her fear of being caught in a rip tide. Subliminally, though, “I think this painting grew out of the stress and feeling of hopelessness I had at the end of the summer of 2020,” the artist said.

Maybe it’s because of, or maybe it’s in spite of, but whatever the case, area artists have been busy creating work for the Art for All Seasons Annual Membership Show at the Maude Kerns Art Center in Eugene.

It’s a sizable exhibit, featuring work for sale by more than 140 of the center’s member artists plus 15 participants of the onsite ceramics cooperative known as Club Mud.

The show, which continues through Friday, Dec. 18, offers not only decorative and functional ceramics but also drawings, paintings, prints, mixed-media pieces, fiber art, digital art, photography. It can be viewed in person or online and includes works in a wide range of styles and prices.

Physical attendance at the show require adherence to Oregon Health Authority standards for mask-wearing and social distancing. Drop-ins are welcome subject to space, but sign-up for specific time slots to see the show is available online.
