Ravenscapes: Oregon Dreams in Gold is the title of a show of gold-leaf photography that runs through the end of 2024 at the O’Brien Gallery in south Eugene.

To familiarize people with this kind of art, artist Sandy Brown Jensen has created an online “viewing room” that she describes as a “step into a world of golden dreams.” All of the pieces relate to Oregon landscapes, and she uses 24K gold leaf to lend “a sense of tranquility and awe” to the scenes.

“These aren’t just prints; they’re unique, handcrafted artworks,” she wrote in her artist statement. “Each piece is a labor of love, with 24K gold leaf applied by hand to create a stunning, one-of-a-kind effect.”
