Auditions for the musical, Rent, at Actors Cabaret
When: 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2023
Where: Actors Cabaret, 996 Willamette St., Eugene
Roles: Five males and three females, plus an ensemble of six to eight additional actors; all need to be strong singers. All roles are open. Actors Cabaret is committed to celebrating diversity on our stage and in our audiences. We welcome all ages, genders, races, abilities, orientations, and beliefs — theater is for everyone.
Audition requirements: Prepare a one-minute Broadway-style song; bring your own accompaniment (CD, MP3, or Youtube karaoke track for your music — please, no a cappella auditions).
Story: Set in the East Village of New York City, RENT is about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, RENT has become a pop cultural phenomenon. with songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages.
