Auditions for musical, Kinky Boots, at Actors Cabaret
When: 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 (Auditions are being held far in advance to allow plenty of time for boots and costumes to be constructed.)
Where: Actors Cabaret of Eugene, 996 Willamette St.
Roles: A large cast of 11-20 males and females 16-years and older, plus two boys ages 10-12 years. All need to be strong singers. All roles are open. Actors Cabaret is committed to celebrating diversity on our stage and in our audiences. We welcome all ages, genders, races, abilities, orientations, and beliefs — theater is for everyone.
Audition requirements: Prepare a one-minute Broadway-style song; bring your own accompaniment (CD, MP3, or Youtube karaoke track for your music — please, no a cappella auditions).
Story: KINKY BOOTS is a big-hearted musical extravaganza that won six Tonys including Best Musical, the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre album and London’s Olivier Award for Best Musical. It features a joyous, Tony-winning score by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, and a hilarious, uplifting book by four-time Tony winner, Harvey Fierstein.
